What you need to know
Where: Toronto, Canada — various locations, talks & workshops will take place at University of Toronto, Northop Frye Building (near Museum TTC Station)
When: August 16 - 19, 2019
Housing: Participants are responsible for finding their own housing.
Click here for a moderated Facebook group where you can connect with Toronto locals who are offering to host participants, or connect with others to share costs.
The conference will be taking place at various locations around Toronto, so there is no one single hotel / location that is closest to all events. We recommend looking for accommodation that has easy access to public transit (TTC).
Transportation: Participants are responsible for their own transportation to/from event venues, unless specifically indicated on the schedule.
Toronto is easily accessible by transit, bike-share, walking, or car. The transit system (TTC) consists of subway lines, streetcars, and bus routes, and spans most of the city fairly accessibly.
Toronto has a bike-share program that is convenient and affordable, though it may be harder to use in areas far from the downtown core.
If you are choosing to travel by car, especially to events that are in the downtown core, keep in mind that parking can be scarce and expensive, so give yourself extra time to find it and budget accordingly.
Food: We will provide some meals throughout the conference, and sometimes participants will be expected to provide their own meals.
Toronto is one of the most vegan-friendly cities. Click here for a comprehensive list of veg-friendly restaurants.

We will do our best to meet your needs.
